hood struts

I have an 82 camaro with a factory fiberglass hood and I need to replace the hood struts. Are they special tension ones for that year and hood or would all 82-92 hood struts work?

You have to get fiberglass struts so they won't crack the hood. The steel struts are way too strong.

Here are the part numbers that I'm using:

Or hit the classifieds and buy a set that won't quite hold up a steel hood anymore.
