door window alignment
Alright fella's, heres one for ya. got my 84z finnished all new weather strpping on the tops and body, and doors, etc. also brand new door hinge kits. everything is fabulous but,,, Ive to much of the top of the drivers window wanting to ride on the outside of the weather stripping toward the windshield post and also its wanting to **** back on a angle somewhat towards the top upper back, where is the adjustments for this and how, this is basically all the tweaking I need to do to the car besides another buffing out on the new paint and a good detailing, I know the inside door panels will have to come off again and thats fine, while Im in there again I might just put new power lock actuaters in there, they're origional and work when they want, not when I want them to. Thanks.

It's kinda tricky, and you should have some sort of repair manual to show you where all the adjustment nuts/bolts are located. I used one of those old Haynes books (for F'Birds) for doing my driver door glass. By what you posted, it sounds like you need to stop the front of your window (towards the A-pillar) from going up too far (?). This is controlled by the front "up-stop" adjustment nut/support. Basically you loosen the nut (with window lowered about half way) and slide the "stop" down/up slightly, then retighten and check glass alignment. But like I say, it's probably best that you have a diagram or something. It's much better to adjust the right nut/bolt than go un-loosening a lot of different things. It's not too complicated once you learn the functions of the particular adjustment areas.
