My friend threw up in my car :(

Hes not my friend anymore until he pays me to have my car shampooed

Heres the story,I was going to pick up my g/f and as I was leaving my neighbor Jaimie asked me for a ride.It was on the way so I said "cool hop in"
Were half way there and I look over at him and Im like WTF,you just threw up in my car.As hes hurling Im cussing him out and getting off the freeway,I even illegally got out of the carpool lane because of that and there was a motorcycle cop not to far behind.Im sure the cop saw but luckily he didnt pull us over or that would have really sucked.
Anyways,Im still cussing him out and a few minutes into cussing him out I realized he wasnt responding. So my anger turned to concern. So I wass like Jaimie,"you alright. He had no response. Finally he comes out of his exorcism and says Im alright .Then I start cussing him out again. We finally get off the freeway and I kicked him out of my car, then I hurry back home for some rags and cleaned my interior. The throw up was all over my door panel and my carpet, some on my dash pad,and some on my PMD seat.I had to take my right side interior apart just to clean it all up. I cleaned it pretty good but how do I get the throw up smell out.?
So because of him I was 4 hours late picking up my g/f and she woudnt talk to me the rest of the night..So jaimie has to pick up the shampoo bill,he better !

Damn man that sucks. I used Resolve and LOTS of time with the windows down to get rid of some spilled milk in my dad's truck. Spilled milk isn't so bad, but spilled milk cooking in the sun all day was nearly impossible to get rid of.

Not sure how you could drive home like that, but me i have vomit to clean up on the other side to.

Shampooing the carpet or steam cleaning it might. That and alot lysol and leave the windows down.

Which car was this?

you'd think your girlfriend would understand you being late when someone pukes in the car... assuming you called to tell her what happened. tell her you wanted to clean it extra good so she doesn't have to sit in it! And I would think steam cleaning and maybe shampooing the carpet would be the best option

lol, that must look pretty funny.

just clean it up really good. then use a grip of lysol.

Like the person who posted above, a gallon of milk burst open in my hatch area. I just dried it up with a towel and didnt think anything of it until I go into my 90 degree car the next day and it smells like somebody took a huge dump in the back seat. I couldn't even sit in my car for 5 minutes it was so bad.

I basically just got some carpet cleaner, went at it and soaked it good, scrubbed the hell out of it, wiped it up with a warm wet rag, and lysolled (is that a word?) the hell out of it.

I let the hatch air out for about 2 hours and it went away.

most of the time the smell never goes away....... i bought a car off my sister and some one puked in it so i just tore out all the carpets and drove it like that in your case make sure to steam clean or use a carpet shampooer/extactor, i used one at a dealership on a few cars completely gets ride of all smells and 90$ of stains, i know steamcleaning is a part of a full detail if you bring it to a detial shop it runs about 95$ and the rest of the car will be super clean too!

First off, you shouldnt have booted your friend at a random place lol.

Go to a detail shop, and have them use an "ozone generator" after they shampoo the carpet. Ozone Generators are the ONLY thing besides replaceing carpet that will permanently remove a smell.

depending on how much cleaning the carpet would cost, you might suggest that he goes halfs with you on getting a new front carpet section. They go for about $125 or so

Really all it takes is time. No matter what u use it's going to "cover up" the smell. Over time the smell will go away. Mine took about 6months. I had my car shampooed at the Wash Tub twice and that didnt help much, dont get me wrong it was clean, but still ranked. Time.
