removal and replacement of floor pans.
i recently bought a super clean 91 rs no rust on the body until i was driving back to my house and my exhaust fell off so i get up yestrday morning to go see if i can remove what was draggin last night, well to cut a long story short the guy who had the car before me said the car sat in his back yard for 2 years im thinkin it sat on grass or dirt because i noticed the front and sides of the floor pan are starting to rust out i took 2 fingers and pushed on some of the areas and noticed some flexing of the metal also need a new bumper reinforcement for the rear because i noticed that was rotting away also,so where can i find these replacement parts and pics and a step by step would help alot , i am also mechanically inclined and went to school for 4 years for welding and know how to operate air tools.
thanks alot!

still no one, i think this would be a good topic for those who want to replace their floor pans the right way and making sure all the proper steps are taken so we dont run into problems along the way, and could possibly make it to a important/useful topic

Go to Shermans Parts
up in Chestfield Township
NO shipping...Thats where I bought mine for my 91
If my info is correct...they supply Classic and other people
I paid 180 plus tax per side,I went there on my lunch break
Hope that helps

The pans are in,all the wheelwell rust was fixed, and I turned around and sold it,To a guy in Roseville
I have an 87 now
I have a ton of pictures, but unfortunately they were with an instamatic, not digital
I did one side at a time, and I cut the new pans in about halfway up the side of the tranny hump instead of going to the top...saves a LOT of work
Good luck
Do a search,I've posted a lot about these along with a lot of other members

i plan on posting up some pics here of my underbody in a few weeks to show you guys how bad the rust is and once the weather warms up i plan on pulling the carpet and ill snap some pics of that,i currently got a catalog from the guys at por 15 and if the damage isnt through the floors i was thinkin along the lines of their epoxy putty , they claim its so strong u can drill and tap it once it hardens

sure id love to see all the pics you have and as soon as i find my stupid digital camera ill show you guys what im dealing with and get some pics up so i can decide either to cut it out or use the epoxy putty, i just bought the car 2 weeks ago and it just sucks because the body and interior is in mint shape, the car only has 97,000 miles on it, and i get sooo many compliments on it and looks everywhere i go,so im gonna wait until i go and get my new exhaust on and snap a whole mess of pics at my buddys shop also i talked to him about doing my pans because hes restoring a 78 Z28 and he said we can do it no problem
