overhead console
I have a 1987 LT model camaro with T-Tops. I am redoing the interior and i want to know if they have overhead consoles that are just flat and then a light instead of all the extra things on it.

I've never seen or heard of one like that. You would be able to remove the vinyl pocket fairly easily if you don't like it there.

The following link shows the only two types of consoles, the coupe and t-top versions. Both have the same bells and whistles. As Camaroguy suggests, the 'pocket' can easily be removed. Note the first pic:
