Question about 90-92 camaro gauges
I did a few searches and nothing came up with the answer i wanted.
I was thinking about switching my current gauge cluster from my 88 iroc to the 145mph from the 90-92 IROC/Z28s but I wasnt sure if it would fit fine or if the connectors would be the same...
I've only really driven one 90+ dash car and liked the way it looked, and think it would be a nice touch to my interior...if it fits.
I also dont even remember if its the same size lol
Thanks, and sorry for the odd questions

the 90-92 dash is totally different from the 88.
92
88
The wiring on the connectors changed too, do a search there are a couple that swapped out the dash, and rewired the car so they could have the 90-92 cluster.
I want to do this someday, have the entire dashboard of a 92 sitting in the garage. Just a big project, and just havne't had the time.

you have to swap the entire dashboard for it to fit right.. you can retain the top dash piece though...
rewiring most of it to work isnt too hard, hardest part is adding the electric speedo stuff.
overall, its nothing exceptionally hard, just ALOT of little things.

Anyway, dont really feel like replacing my entire dash for a cool looking gauge cluster, dont really have the time
guess I'll just try to freshen up my current one

from 82 until 89, the VSS was located on the back of the speedo.. the cable turned the speedo, and that turned the speed sensor... the ECM then got that signal.
90+ models had the VSS mounted in the tailshaft of the trans... wires then ran the signal to the gauge cluster, ECM and cruise control.
