power seat track removal
hey guys, im in a bit of a dilemma. im trying to part out my z28 and one of the last things left is my power seat track. i want it out! when the seat was last used it was really close to the steering wheel. so the front two nuts that anchor the track down to the body are inaccesbile because the upper track where the seat bottom is anchored is in the way. i cant just use the switch since the car pretty much stripped. so how do i go about this? is there anyway i can manually move the track back or somehow jump it to move it back? . if you really need pics let me know and ill take some and post them.....thanks guys any help is aprreciated

The power connector for the seat is underneath the seat,on my '83 it's and 2 wire orange/white connector. You could tap into that with 12 volt power supply or a battery to move the seat.Or if you wire harness is still intact, including your batter cables, you could set a battery in for power.

You can't even get to it with a box wrench? I can't recall how much room is under there with power tracks, but the manual leaves plenty of room.

I had a power seat that was out of a car but the thing blocked the bolts. So I just tapped the wires into a battery and moved it back.
