Where is the coolest place to mount this???
I have a 3 gallon tank for my air ride, i was going to put it where the spare tire would be, i still want to but i'm gonna have to make some wicked bracketry to get it in there with enough room to clear the airlines on the ends
I could blast and repaint(has some runs in the paint) and mount it between my amp and back seat or thinking of chrome, what do you guys think, part of me says it be easy to mount it infront of the amp but i would rather have it all hidden...keep it secretive. Unless i build some sort of a conceal around it
THe back of the back seats will be reupholstered black soon!!

I voted hidden, when I get ready to do air ride on mine I want everyone to know I have airride but never be able to look in the car and see it. Im talkin about hidden switchs and all.
If you want everyone to know you have it then I would chrome and mount in the truck area somewere. Thats gonna look outta place back there though.
IMO

I say hide it. BTW, about how big is the air tank? Will it even fit where the spare tire goes?

Few whack ideas!
On your roof (since you have a hard top). Just put it in the back top of the roof.
Under the hood!!! Crazy, but depends on the tank.
Take the back seat out and mount it there.
Mount it inside the well, and close it with the subs....
I like the under the hood idea, but I know its not possible!
Goodluck.

I would say hide it, and Iam also supprised you didn't hide your amp, you must hide things around here, or they wont last very long.

can you post a pic of the tank to give a better idea of what you're working with? I'm not familiar with them. Also guys, he has the rollout cover in his hatch area so the amp and subs aren't visible when the hatch is closed.

I would hide it. Either in the spare tire spot, or under the subs.
Could you raise the subs to fit it under there?

im gonna vote w/ the last...second box under the subs for your air tank....then raise the subs up to be level w/ the decklid of the trunk and amplifier.

well i did some more in depth measuring today, the spare tire is getting the curb , making a bracket to hold the tank up off of the spare tire brace mount deal, compressor is mounting all the way at the bottom, above the drain hole, valves are going behind the seat belt assembly towards the front of the well with a small bracket to give me room to run lines and the sending units are going just above the tank on that spare tire brace, all of it might get a little tight but its how i am going to run it...
COntrol panel i am mounting above my radio pod below the dash pad, gonna flush mount it to they're so that is the only thing seen....
Sickness the tank is 20x7.5 i believe

the spare tire area is a great idea if you're able to fit it. One piece of info for you though, that bracket that holds the spare tire isn't very strong on it's own. It only holds the spare sufficiently because the spare tire is wedged into place on the bottom. Be sure to have the main supports for the tank coming from the framerail and above the wheel well.
