oh, it will look sweet. I've seen them on a firebird. awesome. I bought some. Only problem i got is that i want them to go on my trans am taillights. They didn't make them for 85-90 trans ams so i had to get them for a firebird. I'll probably end up swapping the ta taillights for firebird/formula ones.

and, what is the difference between firebird taillights, 1986-1990 , and trans am taillights, 1985-1990?

Trans am taillights are the ones with the grid. Firebird/Formula taillights have the yellow blinkers on the bottom. Trans am taillights have a red reflective strip that goes along the bottom which makes the taillights curve in earlier. This makes them a different shape than the firebird/formula taillights, thus, making a not-so-perfect fit for the firebird blackouts on the t/a taillights.

trans am 85-90, firebird 85?-92.

another example. again not my car. This one is from the KITT with a twist car. Its a formula with ram air II hood, knight rider front bumper, 4th gen spoiler. Can also find this car at cardomain.com.

For my blackouts, i plan on sanding/buffing out the little GTS logos on the blackouts.

ya know, i never knew that the t/a and bird lights curved differently...originally, i had 85 bird lights though, never had a set of 86+ bird lights, just the 85-90 T/A lights and my old bird ones.....like the grids shown in the last pic...gotta love how "retro" that makes the cars feel.

why don't they make those logos a bit bigger? they don't quite completly ruin the back of the car yet

KEVING you can get a KR conversion solid one piece blackout and you would see nothing. it would look sick
