Car: A Portly 85 Z28
Engine: 4.530 X 4.250 BBC
Transmission: under rated for this application
Axle/Gears: also under rated
I ordered some from the dealer, I asked for the struts for the 82 or 83 pace car that had the plastic hood, the worked out well for my fiberglass harwood.

I ordered my from GM for my SS hood. Cost a lot, but are better than others out there. They will not crack your hood, as most other brands will. Also, struts that will not hold up a steel hood may still be too strong for a glass hood.

As someone said before, order for the 82-83 Crossfire hood.

Transmission: 700R4 w/3000 stall
Axle/Gears: 3.73 Torsen Posi, Moser Axles
You can order them from NAPA Auto Parts for the plastic hood of the 82-84 Z-28 which works for fiberglass hoods. Part #8195280, not sure of the price. Hope this helps.
