Aftermarket Gauges for Firebirds?

Hey.. i am converting all the lights in my '85 bird to blue or red and i have blue bulbs in my stock dash and because of all the orange paint it is just a white light, and now i would like to buy a aftermarket guage cluster to put a end to this problem so i would like everyone to post what namebrands of gauges you are using and include pics if possable
thanks

There is no aftermarket gauge cluster for birds. If you want to use other gauges you'll have to go with individual gauges like Autometers. You'll have to do all the wiring yourself, as well as figure out how to mount them. It's been done, and isn't difficult. However there is no "plug n play" option.

I made one for my firebird with all autometer gauges. I got rid of the factory engine harness and all so it was easier for me to do it this way. I'll take some pics of it in the car, but for now here's these.

I used stuff called 'kydex'. Very easy to work with, but also very expensive. I just happened to have it laying around the shop at the time. I got lucky and a friend that works in construction scored a sheet for me. It usually sells for about $480/sheet You can use any kind of plastic you can get your hands on, the less brittle the better. Don't try plexiglass.

If you simply want to change the color that the gauges light up, spray over all the orange with white paint and then get colored bulbs. A company called auto instruments can reface your gauges. I'm having mine done silver with black numbers. They can also recalibrate your speedometer to 160 mph. Other than that, you would have to fabricate a custom dash panel and buy aftermarket gauges.
And props to person who did make the custom panel with the autometer gauges, that looks awsome.

How about just buying some new white guage faces off of Ebay?

I ended up spraying the back of the bezel a metalic blue and the amount of light it produces is very decent for the amount of work it took.
