91-92 GFX direct bolt onto a 83 z28?

I'm more interested in replacing the front gfx then anything else. It is definately showing its age. The rest of the car is very clean and I am often asked if it is a later model then what it actually is. I will be painting soon and I have access to clean GFX at a local salvage yard.

So my question as I'm sure you see, will I run into any problems latching on the front GFX from a 91-92 rs onto my 83 z28? I would like to keep the stock side and rear gfx as they are flawless. Would this look strange? Any suggestions? I figure it would be cheaper then trying to repair the old plastic/fiberclass one. Plus I get the refreshing look for a smooth clean newer front.

BTW I am new and I have been searching for a forum like this for awhile. I guess I didn't search hard enough. These forums are the best source of information I have ever found on our cars. I'll definately be hanging around here.

Don't bother posting if there are older post for this info. I'll do some searching. Thanks.

it wouldnt look right if u just put a 92 front and kept ur 83 gfx because the 92 front gfx come lower and the side gfx of an 83 are short and stay higher up if u swap the front might as well put the 92 gfx all around trust me ull be happy u did

Welcome to the boards. The 91-92 front gfx will not be a direct bolt on. It wont fit on the bumper. If you want the 91-92 front gfx then you will also need to replace your front bumper.

I ran into fitment problems with my 82... i think you need 91-92 fenders. it might have just been my bumper though

actually.. if you look at the side of a camaro you can see that the front end is higher up then the side GFX i think it would even it out.
