You are welcome... Just kidding. Sorry, I know I didn't help, but I had to chime in.
Anyways, that is how I feel. A lot of guys here don't really know how much help they are. Also, you have to concider that it took some ***** to do some stuff somebody told you to, without really looking at his outcome...
Praises to both the site and the people who are not affraid to mess with something over their head.

ya I deliberatly painted them white and I have gotten nothing but crap from ppl around here. I like them white . although I never thought I would upset so many ppl around here (my home) . went cruising two weeks ago a my buddy ragged me all night!! lol that and the fact that I hadnt installed the wheel well gaurds yet.

when I say turd its like me saying my "I hate cars" or "my old lady" shes not old and I dont hate cars its just a nickname for it because it use to look like a turd, and whenever I washed it my friends would always tell me "you cant polish a turd". hope that clears things up

Who thinks I should at the heritage stripes to it? After I painted it I couldnt make up my mind.

I had some kid literally stick his head out the passenger side window to turn around and look at my car. It is funny seeing people reactions when they're like "DAAAAAAAMN"

ya its great to break the saggy head liner, dirty wife beater, punk kid blasting guns and roses stereo type. Have you noticed the lack of crappy thirdgens on the road latley? I have, most of the ones im seeing are in decent shape around here. We can prolly thank the gas prices for helping ween the junk out. I guess high gas price do have at least one positive effect!!!

I'm probably the only one around here that isn't like that. The rest people hate because of all those reasons plus some. Me...i just play loud music, but good music.

the door bumpers were something that I tossed around for a few days. I like them with and with out. I think on my car with the shaved door handles it fits white and black third gens kick ***!!

nice car! im glad your thinking about the stripes. the first thing i thought of when i saw the car was how nice black heritage stripe would look in her. if by chance ya do put them on in black it will defenatly be one of my favorite third gens i have ever seen and i would beg for background worthy pics.

Thanks...the people who HATE the previous generation of the cars they presently own are not true enthusiasts of the car.

I really wish I had my 83 Z28 back....it was originally a red LG4/T5 car with the Conteur Custom Cloth interior and J65 4-wheel discs, to which I added GM export headlight covers, a GM service parts 140 mph speedometer, a Dana 44 HD service axle, a 350, and a Doug Nash 5 speed.

For the body/interior, I'd restore it all back to original, but with all of the factory tape stripes and hood stickers painted on, and sealed under clearcoat. All original stuff, too, no 4th Gen parts in order to preserve the unique character of the 3rd Gen....

The only possible variation from original that I would consider would be to find a Firebird Lear/Siegler passenger seat to have reupholstered with the Camaro's Conteur cloth.

But I'd definitely update all of the mechanical systems to use a LS1/T56 combo, C5 disc brakes to replace those tiny little 10 1/2 rotors, and 17 x 9 Fikse FM5 to add clearance for the brakes but maintain the stock silver 5-spoke wheel look...well, sorta

Heres a quicky, I know its just personal preference, but I think black headlight pockets really make these cars!

Great car.. It makes me wish I had finished off my Camaro. I had almost the exact same thing lined up for my 91 RS, complete with being white, tail light blackouts, my 91-92 16" wheels painted black (look alot like yours), and an LT1 was going in it... Nice work

I think tri5kid could echo that Denver's third gens are still looking pretty rough. My girlfriend has told me like 3 times "Yours is the only one that doesn't look like s**t!" And she's right. Nasty original paint and bashed up fenders with drivers looking like they just got out of the penn everywhere. Firebirds are the worst. But when they go to the scrap yard it'll make more cheap parts for the rest of us.

To be honest.. I think the black headlamp pockets on the white cars make them look like they have baggy eyes

On any other color... I like the black!!

Thats my way of being difficult..lol

I love the "eye shadow" look on Camaro's. Without it, it looks like a base model or something. But the car looks bee-you-Tee-full.
