lining up hatch

lining up hatch
I been doing some work on my 88 firebird. I put in a new pull down motor for the back hatch..
The hatch isnt lining up to good and was woundering if anyone knows how I can line it up better?

The second picture looks as if the hatch pull-down unit is adjusted too low. Did you attempt to correct the alignment problem by lowering it? If so, you'll soon have the clear plastic part (called the motor housing) break apart. You'll need to raise the hatch pull-down unit and adjust it until it pulls the hatch down and you hear the "CLICK" of the reversing switch, but hear no strain whatsoever in the motor.

I didnt do anything to the pull-down unit, Just installed it..
The first pic(passager side) its level, And as you can see in the sec pic(the driverside) is lower..I'm not hearing no "click" either..
Not sure how I ajust the pull down motor to make both sides level..

pull down
that pull down is the biggest p.os. they made. i cant figure why they made such a big bulky assembly and my dads caddy has a small motor that is much more reliable
mine stopped working in 91 so i took it off and put a 84 firebird plain latch on works great
