securing hood
Hey guys. So here's the scoop. I got my fiberglass cowl a couple weeks back and am getting ready to put it on. I don't really like the way hood pins and locks look and was wondering if anyone else has come up with a way to secure their hoods so that the paint on them does not crack. I don't plan on going to high speeds often, but when I take it to the track, I don't want to take the chance. Thanks in advance to any ideas.

Yeah, that was the idea I had come up with but was wondering if anybody else had ideas. Thanks for the input though.

Depending on how the hood is made, will tell you if it'll flex at speed. Currently, I have a real light pin-on that seems like fiberglass laid over chipboard. It flexes, but that's just how it's made.
I used to have a 4" cowl that was real solid though. I don't think it would've flexed at speed.
