Best way to install hi rise spoiler on RS hatch?
This guy I work with has a "mint" hi rise spoiler, unpainted, that he says is for an 89 IROC (I thought hi-rise spoilers only came on 91-92 z28s ). Anyways, hes lettin me get it for a steal. Only thing is that I have an 89 RS, with the 3 piece "spoiler". What would be the best way to drill the holes in the hatch to they match PERFECTLY to the hi rise spoiler? Im not worried about the old holes, Im gonna weld those shut. Im just tryin to find a way that I can make some measurements and drill the holes, and not "guess and check". Anyone got any suggestions?

I have a hi rise that I will install in the fall. I was told by someone that parts these cars out for a living that the holes are outlined. Lift the hatch and remove the rubber plugs and you will see what I mean. You are doing the right thing to weld the old holes or else rust will set in.
And yes the hi rise only came on 91-92 models so be careful. There are lots of aftermarket plastic spoilers out there. The factory ones are fiberglass.
