buffer
Anyone recommend a good low-cost buffer? For tasks such as polishing wheels and tailights. I have no idea what rpm or what company is right for me. Budget of say $100? Thanks to anyone who replies.

I won't be using it to buff the paint for now and when I do I will know how to do it right. I just need to get this set of wheels polished as well as my tailights as of now. Thanks for the heads up though.

i got a set from chicago pneumatic its a small air buffer i think 4 " works great for smal parts.. its a air hog though but works great i think it was like 90.00

yes you can buff anything with this just pick the proper compounds go with mild ones first to get the feel for buffing. look at the shine not the buffing pad.

I use a DEWALT, I bought from my local autobody supplier.
It was a little over $200, but very nice with varible-speed control trigger and light weight.
One of my better buys in tools, in the past few years.
Very Happy with it.

From my experience in the construction industry I'd go with the DeWalt tens times over the Chicago but you do pay for it and i've never used their buffer just other tools.
