Installed new weather stripping. . .got some questions

So I had some new t-top weather stripping (GM product) installed on the car. It was a decent install, but nothing spectacular . . . some calking that squirted out and some on my seat belts, but I digress. . . .

The guy said that the stripping needs to get set and formed. ??? The reason he said that is because with the doors closed, the windows won't quite go up all the way. They stop about 1/2" short of all the way. So I have to now close the door with the windows all the way and I have no issues.

Does this sound right?

and 2.) the t-tops no longer squeak (where's that dancing bear icon when I need it?)

3.) I do have a little more window wind noise, but this might go away if the above is indeed true

4.) All leaks went away with the exception of one and it was reduced significantly.
