Preparing for paint....
I think I'm gona sell my car fairly soon, but I know I can get more $ for it if it at least LOOKS good. Right now theres a few primer spots covering surface rust and scratches, as well as clear coat flaking off and stuff. The body is pretty good as far as dings/dents go, so I dont have to worry about that stuff too much, and I'm staying with the stock color so I dont have to worry about door jambs and stuff. I plan on taking it to Maaco (theres a somewhat decent one around here i guess) and just having them do the pretty much cheapest paint job they offer. How should I go about preping the car (besides removing everything that shouldnt be sprayed)? What grit sand papers should I use, what sort of fillers should I use, etc.? Thanks,
-Chris
