Paint help!! it hurts to look!
well i guess it only hurts me to look, I painted my car about 4 weeks ago and yesterday was finally reassembing it. I was pulling it back into the garage and a board with a spike fell and scratched the hell out of the lower gfx. please tell me how to fix it, do i have to repaint the whole piece or can this be sectioned. To some of you it may not look like much but for a novice painter this was heartbreaking since that piece and the nose were the best looking pieces on the whole car!! any way please help me, thanks
O ya I used PPG base and clear, 4 coats of base and 5 coats of clear!!! I didnt even get a chance to buff it!!

Man that's a drag... but I feel for ya, mine wasn't outta paint two months, when a friend's dog decided t run around my car as i was pulling into his driveway. Oh, did I mention he was still on his chain?? Nice. I almost killed the damned thing.
You can spot the color, but you'll want to clear the whole part.
Feather edge the gouges out and re-prime and block to remove low spots. wetsand as we talked about before, and step your color out over the damaged portions...lightly, and re-clear.
good luck
