A Pillar Trim

Is it difficult to remove the A pillar trim in a non T Top car. I had the headliner replaced a few years back and the damn thing is starting to sag again. I had an upholstery shop do it but am not happy with the match so I might try and do it myself. I read the articule in the tech section but am wondering is it difficult to take the trim off without breaking the clips that hold it to the roof. Is it difficult to get the clips?, do any of the main auto parts stores stock them?

Thanks.

well i just did it, its not hard to take it off at all just pull straight back both came off no problem

now putting them back on was a pain and i did it my way.

I couldnt get it to clip back in so i decided to use my own clips i cut out the old ones in there prolly 4-5 ish these white ugly clips that didnt wanna come out unless u break em..and i used these black pin looking clips from my shop.

Slid them in the A-pillar trim piece and snaped them back into the roof.

If what i just wrote is hard to understand just simply take off the trim and try to put it back in ull know what i mean.

Thanks for getting back to me guys. Your headliner looks great. Where did you get the material from and was it a good match to the existing material. Are those clips you used readily available?

Thanks.

I would like to know the same thing. Also, what color is your headliner as I think they came in a few different shades of grey?

its very black, just appears different i guess.

I bought it from a guy in MD which he said he had it professionally recovered. I gotta good deal and it really is mint in everyway. Got the visors with the sail panels coverred the same.

As for the clips, I got them from my shop and i work at Shell Gas Station, i think most part stores should have them but i dont know we have tons of different types of clips

Steve could I ask you what the diminsions of the clip are. I live in Ireland and tried the auto stores here but they don't stock any clips. Maybe I can order them from the US if I know the sizes. It's frustrating when all I can get for an american car is oil and a filter.

Thanks.
