plastic/vinyl spray rough
I used du pont vinyl dye (spray can) on my center console and it looks good with the exception that its really rough...i cant go over it with an armor wipe or even paper towel without it snaggin or tearing up little pieces of the towel
anyway of smoothing this out...???? i tried washing it with dawn just to see if it would help anything (just a shot in the dark) and it didnt seem to do much.
anyone else with this problem?
i know F355bird has painted his vinyl like i did

I used that on my center console and hate it, though mine isn't rough at all. All I can say is that you either got a bad can, it was to hot outside, you didn't spray it on thick enough, or you did it in direct sun. Those are about the only way that stuff (or any paint for that matter) will finish rough.
I just hate it because the finish is to shiny. Now I'm either stuck with it, get to strip everything down to do it over, or get to buy all new pieces.
