painting lights

dang. i just typed a fairly long post, and the computer crapped out. but i was just wondering if theres a paint (preferably rattle can) that sticks well to light bulbs, like the 194's behind my gauges. or if there any other tricks u guys have used to get colors w/o spending a buck a bulb. thanks guys.

I hyave ahad a little experience with this and i would say just buy the lights, for one you dont really know how the light will work till its dry and you can test it and then you might have to do mkore coats, and also they tend to smell as the lights get hot the paint starts to melt off the light, i would just say buy the lights and not worry about the paint

I've bought that van's bulb paint before, and it worked pretty good. My sister wanted the dash in her car to be purple, so I used the paint on all the 194 bulbs and it worked great.

I doubt you'll find it at any store, I've only been able to find it online.

Here is one place I found that has it.

I know there are more colors too.

you guys with camaros have it easy, because the dash in birds have this colored plastic which gives the gauges that orange color

my 86 trans am has the orange slip on bulb covers in the dash that put off a red like glow. but I found red, blue and green at autozone that was sold in packs of 2 . I think they were around $4 or $5.
