want to remove crap from underhood and all that-- but still have heat, even thoguh actually wouldnt want to be driving this car in winter, hmm..
what all do you have to do ? swap control panels too or ?

I believe Early S-10 types need some clearancing to fit and some of the bolt holes don't line up 100%. I'm not sure though since I've never used one. This has been covered before if you do a search for it.
Any f-body car without AC from 82-92 should work. Make sure to get the blower, wheel, and if you want to use the non AC wiring you need the resistor and harness part of it. You could also just reuse your AC wiring and resistor. I've covered that fairly well in the link above. If you can't find the blower and wheel they can bought from the store for ~$20 each. You could also convert over your 4 speed AC motor which is also covered in the thread above.
The control panel can stay the same.
Many of boxes on ebay now, including one of my fiberglass replicas.

good info thanks
well the problme is non a/c third gen f body ive never seen in person, seem to be a real rare low numbers thing
odds of ever finding oen for parts is really zero around here,
i have an s-10 non a/c entire system from an 87 i cut up is why i was wondering, i dont care if its not perfect swap, just as long as was close,
i can fill gaps with body seam filler or whatever if need be,
no biggie,
blower motors and fan sets i have all kinds of those, and both widths, so thats no biggie either
thanks
