'82 Trans Am Fender Question

My mother backed into my cherry '82 Trans Am. I need to find a replacement for the drivers side fender and door skin. I'm having a difficult time finding it. I'm told that '83 and '84 fenders will be a perfect interchange by some and others tell me they will have holes that will need to be filled in due to the "ground effects" addied in '83 and '84. Does anyone have the difinitive answer? Does anyone know where I can get an '82 replacement? Thanks

82-84 T/A fenders are the same.

SOME 83 and 84 T/A's had W62 ground effects. If you get a fender from a car that had GFX, then yes, you will have to fill the holes. Otherwise you should be fine.

well as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong now, the fenders from 82 till 90 will fit perfectly exept that you will have the problem with the GFX holes after 85.

'82-90 Trans Am fenders will interchange. You may need to weld up and redrill ground effects holes depending on what year car you get the fenders from. '82 T/A and '83-84 non-W62 Aero Package T/A fenders will be a direct no hassle swap.

Only '91-92 Trans Am and' 87-92 GTA didn't have the air extractor vents.
