Getting there...
Okay guys, need some assitance here. I have my fenders, facia, hood of my car right now. The main frame is solid as a rock . I do however have a few rust holes in the wheel wells about 2 inch in diameter and some smaller. I have about 2 all together on each side. The holes just go to the engine compartment. I also have one on the passenger side that runs into the floor board so thats why its getting wet. Whats the easiest way to fix these? The floor board is also pretty shot on the drivers side. Can I just cut it out and weld in new sheetmetal and paint it up? My rocker under the door is also rusted where it meets the fender. Should I cut one off another car and then weld it in? Not sure here. Never really did body work before. Also on the facia. What are the two bolts that go into the fender? Not the two bottums but the tops. Mine where different. There are four all together on each side. I'm looking at the top two in each side. Should they all be the same here? Also the hook thing that is on top where the facia connects to the fender is riped. Its part of the front poly facia. Can i still use it? I hope to get some pictures soon. Let me know if you can help me. I'm new to this Thanks again

How do i get this anntenna apart?
Is this fixable to? Or what should I do here? What kind of bolts connect that peice to the fender, are they the same as the bottums?
Thats where the drivers side rust hole goes to. I have tape on it right now I know its alot of pictures but maybe someone can help. I'm going to sand blast everything this weekend and spray it for now so it stops. Then what? Thanks again

thats not so bad.. its gonna suck cutting and shaping all those little peices though, patience is key
the fascia connects with 2 bolts on the bottom, and 2 nuts on the top, where the studs come out thru the fascia support
(the thing your turn signals are bolted to)
the antenna should just unbolt from behind the wheel there, and come out thru the bottom...

Well I have her all sand blasted now. Took forever but looks good I started sanding the body down today. What primer should i use? The car will not be painted this year. I know I was reading somewhere here about primer rusting when it gets wet overtime? If so, what should I use after i sand it? I was also going to sand it then prime it, then spray satin black on it. What do you guys think would be better? I used self-etching primer today. what is that? I don't know much about paint. Should I get more? Any help is great.
The attention does come down, but how do I put it into the fender. The way it is now will not go into it. I have no clue on it.

If I were you, I'd have the primer ready and use it as soon as finishing sandblasting. Otherwise, bare metal gets flash rust almost immediately.
I don't know why but most people recommend epoxy primer, although etching one is definitely an option. Difference is that epoxy creates a really hard shell that protects the metal and it sticks to the surface by going into all the scratches. Etch primer actually creates a chemical bond with the metal and fuses together with the surface. Again, have no idea why most people do epoxy. I think its because generally it gives way better protection.
Also take a look at Picklex 20. Its a rust converter/surface prep type of thing. Cool part is that you can use it right after sandblasting and as long as you keep the car dry, this stuff will give you protection until you finally do prime it. Also when you prime, you leave this stuff on and it keeps giving you extra protection under the primer. They recommend using it even if you do prime right away.
