theres probably 15 plastic tabls holding it on. just get a few fingeres between the door and the door panel and pry it apart. Just take your time.

also, if you plan on keeping the upper door molding connected to it and are worried about damaging the actual panel, don't try to pry it from the molding....you will go through hell trying to devise some custom repair job where the tabs connect to the panel.
with the window down, push down on the molding and towards the window. As you do this try to pull upwards, you may need a slight bit of strength, but dont force it too much, you may crack the molding. I would start from the door jam side and work your way towards the front of the car, one spot at a time, i think there are four connection points, they are little hook-like things that curve towards the interior and catch a metal piece inside the door. Should be pretty easy. This ofcourse is after your remove the bottom tabs that should pop right out.
Just put new panels in my 89 last friday and got the originals out without a scratch to the back board.
You are going to want to go to autozone or some place and get replacement tabs, other wise the ones you have "popped" out will be worn in some areas and may not sit as tightly as they did before. They are easy to install, you just put the longer edge of the flat, top piece into the slot and rotate it until its all the way in.
Just take your time and be careful....
