Corvette seats in Camaro?

I recently bought a set of leather power seats out of a 97 Vette. They were cheap, so I figured I'd give it a try. Turns out that the tracks are completely different, but the look awesome sitting in there. So my question is, has anyone done this, or will i be on my own making it work? The biggest issue is that the camaro tracks are offset from front to rear, where the vette's are a straight track. Any thoughts, please let me know.

The tracks are mounted differently to the seat, plus I do not want to lose the power, I wish it was that easy

i know someone on here has vette seats in their car, but i can't for the life of me remember who it was. i can even remember the format of his website, i believe the car was a black trans am, with 4th gen interior and vette seats, but i just can't remember his name.

yay i found it. his name is nosaint. his website was nosaint.ca, but it's either not working, or our network is blocking it. if you search for vette seats, you will find a lot of people have asked this question, and i believe nosaint may have even responded in some of them.

web sites cost money and time!!!

I have C4 style and used stock brackets mounted to the seat pans. Every case is different, make some brackets, weld some pieces. Anything is possible.

The Feb. issue of Camaro Performers has this modification. All they had to do was egg-shape out the holes in the brackets. And they were power seats

the article in camaro performers used c4 seats, but this guy has seats from a 97, which i believe is the first year for the c5 right? also, correct me if i'm wrong, but the article was also installing them in a 2nd gen camaro, not a third gen, which i honestly don't know if that makes a difference.

bah, if you do your website through doteasy, it's $25/year for registration (less if you do it for longer) and free domain hosting. i will agree on the time thing though, that's why i've had a website for over a year and this is the extent of the content http://www.j-shaw.com/. i get paid buku dollars for those webmaster skills

My seats are out of a C5. It's looking like I'll have to do the modifications myself. But if anybody sees it being done, please let me know.

Ok brother- where are the seats not fitting? Be SPECIFIC- like too low on the left/right front, not making it over the "hump", etc.

I retro-fitted C4 seats in a C3.... I have a C5 and pulled the seats out ouf 85 and 93 Z28s regularly (before I sold them) so I remember what they look like (for the most part).

My best advice is to start is by looking carefully at the seat frames for both. Use a carboard mock-up for the floor plan. Then, make the adjustments if you can just use a drill. Otherwise, make templates out of carboard and get some metal stock from a scrapyard. Cut the pieces in the shapes you need them and then take them to a welder and have them attached.

It must be a pain to use the rear seats with corvettes seats because they don't fold forward like most 2 door cars seats do.
