Junkyard Find...
Thought i would post my Gems i found in a local junkyard... There is a 91 RS camaro (v6) and in a front end collision. But the Rear bumper and Aero Ground Effects were still good. Time restraints only allowed me to get the rocker ground effects, and i got them for 10.00 for the pair!!!! The bumper would only be 30 if i removed it and 50 if they did... So i am going back for that this weekend... Awesome find... This junk yard has been a primary source for my resto project. This price topped the cake though...

Anyone know what junkyards do with the gasoline that comes with the vehicles they get
Maybe they siphon it and use it for there yard cars.If thats the case, they have an endless supply of gas for free, for there yard cars that is.
At the yard near my pad they have a early 90s suzuki sidekick as there yard mobile They mash everywhere in that thing. One time I saw it break down and the yard worker went to another car that was the same ,got some parts ,slapped em on there like no thing but a chicken wing....and he was gone

I see the old junkyard stash now and again.
More often just a few scattered pieces where a 3rd once sat. I feel like a forensic detective, calling out the respective model years.
Found a sweet yard on the way back up from down south. More than a dozen. There were two super low mileage ones, an dark lavender colored IROC and and 90 RS. Too bad they take the glass out of them so quick, all the really nice interiors were ruined. But I scored a mint dash pad, glass ttops, and a half dozen assorted camaro badges for $50. I didn't have enough daylight for everything I wanted. Don't worry Kaotik, your yard is way too far north for me.

Junkyards are great!!!I have found many great parts including at least 6 overhead consoles with flashlights for 2.00 each,5 mint dash pads for 6.00 each,5 Mint center console pads for 2.00 each,Hood and hatch struts 2.00 each,91-92 camaro GFX`s 1.00 for each of the side pieces.I am currently doing a 91-92 gfx swap on my 86 iroc.So far I only have the rear end of the car done.I got the rear bumper skin off a 92 RS for 26.00 and it was the same color as my Iroc.My local yard just got in 3 new camaros including a 92 RS and 1 firebird which had a tpi setup still on it.Got the tpi for 40.00 which now makes 3 in my garage. Also got a factory subwoofer setup from the firebird 2.00 a piece for the rear speaker boxes and 6.00 for the radio and amp. This yard usually always has 3rd gens comming in and they rotate out on a regular basis so there is always new product arriving. They have the lowest prices on everything.I spend just about all my free time scavaging the boneyards looking for 3rd gen parts. It make restoring my 3 3rd gen camaros very easy and cheap

Wow, this post is like the motherload for me!!! I actually live in Appleton as well. Where are some of these other yards located? Don't worry, I have a Firebird- no use for the Camaro parts! There are MANY things I wish I could find in a junkyard and haven't heard of anywhere around here. Would it be possible for you to PM or email me about some of this stuff?
