Wiring of lighted mirror
I bought a rear view mirror with reading/map lamps for my 86 TA on ebay (from newer F-body). I read somewhere its best to get + from the roof light.
I was going to do it today but was surprized when I found out it has two white wires side by side. I am wondering if those are both +, one from the door swicht and the other from the switch in the dash.
I am not sure but I think the mirror has also two white wires (dont have it with me so I cant verify).
Has anyone done her done it?
thanks, Nonni

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
The white wires ground out through the doorjamb pin switches when the door is opened. Orange wire has constant +12V power, and the black is grounded.

Thanks. I tried to connect the orange wire to 12V power and the black to a ground and the lights worked. I will probably just connect those two.
I dont need those lights to come on when I open the door (have enough of lights).
