IIRC, the ground efx years are as follows
82-84 Are the same
85-90 Are the same
91-92 Are the same
Just make sure u dont mis-match ur ground effects (i.e. an '84 chin spoiler with '85 rocker efx). You will need to replace the front and rear bumpers too, because the stock ground efx will not bolt up to them.
Example:
That is a berlinetta/sc bumper for an 85-87 (no ground efx)
That a is a Z/28|RS|IROC bumper (not the mounting holes for the front spoiler)
I hoped that helps out a little bit

Thanks Rabbitt, how about the side gfx? Do the z28's have special mounting holes or are they just bolted / screwed on?
Thanks for answering the noob questions, cos there aren't too many of these over here.
Cheers.

This is a great question actually!
No such thing as a stupid question my friend
Anyhow, I have a 1986 Berlinetta... and I, as well as you have noticed how butt ugly they look with the silly "speed hole" nose and no ground effects (camaros just DONT look right w/o any ground effects!) ... and I like the 91-92 ground effects, so that's what I've been starting to collect.
What you will need is a IROC or Z/28 nose from 85-90 and any of the 91-92 noses will work. The RS noses from 85 - 90 were the same "Speed hole" ones that we have currently.
The 82-84 noses are very different and shaped just right for their ground effects, but hang the other ground effects years in ackward positions with gaps... not pretty
The side ground effects and rear ground effects before the bumper both have little indentations where they are supposed to go. Once you get your hands on one of those you will be able to mock it up and go "oooooh" ... trust me on this one
I am converting mine to a 91-92 for example... I had to get:
85-90 IROC/Z28 or 91-92 front bumper cover
91-92 front ground effects
91-92 side ground effects
91-92 rocker panels
91-92 rear ground effects
91-92 rear bumper cover.
Once you get the pieces you will have to drill mounting holes in your rear quarter panel for the rear ground effects, and then some more below the door, and IIRC some at the bottom of the door as well.
Drilling holes sounds intimidating, but really, just as long as you dont go too high up, who will know if you drilled several holes before you got it right? lol. Granted I plan to get it right the first time... lol.

Awesome, thanks sellmanb & rabbitt. I am hoping to sea freight a box lot of parts over from the US to restore / modify this car, so it is great to know everything I need in one hit.
One more question then, are the front indicator lights integrated into (attached to) these later model bumpers, or will I have to get mounting hardware for these as well? From Rabbitts pic it looks like they do mount to the bumper.
And another, lol. I already have a 3 piece spoiler to fit to the car. I have seen a hatch with the spoiler removed and it seemed to have specialised mountings to attach the spoiler, mine has nothing of course. Would it be better to drill mine or get a second hand panel, also the the side pieces worry me a little. What have you done?
