gas stains

I have a few gas stains on my quarter panel around the filler cap. It is very noticeable because I own a white car. I washed the car and scrubbed the panel, I also tried polishing comp. but they are still there. It looks like the clear might of absorbed it.

I wonder if there is anything that I could do to fix this?

Try some rubbing compound or you could try a little wet sanding with the finest grain sandpaper you can find. Just take it slow, so you don't burn through to the primer!
