Molding a hood scoop to a hood
I was wondering what I should use to fasten the scoop to the hood it will be either a plastic scoop or fiberglass and should I use body filler to mold it in or use fiberglass?

most scoops have an inner lip in the scoop to have it bolted to your hood. ive heard fiberglass and body filler will crack. what im doin is taking the deminsions of a scoop and making it out of sheet metal so i can weld it to my hood. but heres a guy with a bolted mustang gt scoop bolted to his hood. duck tape works good as well as super glue.
i would think fiberglass only will work with a fiber glass hood?
and body filler will crack after awhile...
what kinda of hood are you molding it to? also, what kinda of scoop?
