how do you remove a door??
i need to do a door..i bought a door spring compressor but how the hell do you do it??
i know you have to remove the fender...and how do you remove the wire harness...

you pull the door spring out, you remove the door panel, disconnect the wiring, remove the rubber boot between the body and door and carefully feed the wires out it, then you remove the kick panel and remove the bolts then there are bolts on the upper

yes to above, the spring compressor is mostly used to just get the spring back in when putting the door back on. To get it off, a large flathead will do.

I have both mine off now for shaving and repainting. Follow the steps above and all should go well. Also I had someone stand/leaning againt the door when taking the last two bolts out 3gen doors are heavy as hell....I am guessing about 60 to 80lbs with the window in.

U all know U don't have to take the spring out if u are takeing the hinges off from the cowl. (sounds like thats what u are doing)If replaceing the pins than the spring has to come out. I had one once fly out of that tool once.. Would suck if it hit u
