t-top weatherstripping tsb & pt#10164133
Hello, I am new to this site but have done some searching and still have not come across the answer and was hoping someone could speak from experience.
I purchased a 1989 Formula 350 w/ glass t-tops for 700.00 and I must say its awesome and getting better with every mod!!!
I am restoring the car and was looking for the GM part number for the t-top weatherstripping kit. In my search of the boards I came across the GM part number 10164133 as well as a mention of a TSB 91-319-10 for the manner in which sealant is to be applied correctly.
My problem is that the GM part number referenced makes no mention of this TSB. I also did a search on this TSB and couldnt find any details.
I have seen some posts that warn about using this retrofit fix from GM (NEW T-TOP WEATHERSTRIPS WITH DRAIN PROVISIONS AT BUTT JOINT #91-10-37 ) as it may lead to problems depending on the application it is used on.
Here is the link to GM parts direct: http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm
I have already decided to go with the GM route but was hoping I could get someone to speak from experience with this kit and if it will work for my bird and any other gotchas I need to know about.
Thanks in advance... This site rocks!!!!!!
