door handles
I was wondering. Since you need door handles to goto a track and you shaved them already... Anyone here think it is possible to modify my old door handles to be magnetic on the back side. So I can sorta cheat my way to the track? Anyone?

I've never seen magnetic door handles before...why would any company market them?
That said, there is a very good reason they require door handles on the car to race.

i'm not sure what type of inspections you go through but out this way if your just racing for fun and don't have a very fast car say 13's or higher i wouldn't worry about it. if your racing a fast car you should have handles so you don't burn up if something does happen. things are there for your safety. if your building a show car/crusier shave your handles. leave it if your racing.

If you do a search you will find some guy who was telling us about how he tricked his buddies doing that after he shaved the handles. Dont see why not but it is unsafe and you could get in trouble if they want door handles and figure out you were trying to cheat them.
