Need some quick 4th gen swap help
I'm looking at getting a 4th gen center console and I would like to know wuts the difference between the 93-96 and 97-on? Also how do you secure the front of it down since all u guys say that the rear holes line up wut about the front? and will i need to cut it at all to make it fit the contour of my firebirds floors?

poly fill from walmart or some type of padding and you can "build" the floor pan to match the console.
the front? i cut off the mounts cause you could see them. gay.
the 2 in the rear hold it more firm than it needs to be IMO.
www.transamcreations.com. go to used parts and look at the consoles. they usually have some good pics of the different years.
97+ gets my vote.

...yea I didnt do it at first and the console started hitting on me, even though I dont swing that way so I 'cut them off'

i actually cut off more than the mount. i just carved the console with a dremel until it had a nice shape to it. i think it looks pretty good. the mounts show, even in a 4th gen... they definately need to be cut off somesort.
