My Formula

My mechanic's wife was selling this.. the clutch is out so i towed it to my house, she wanted 1600 for it, i really couldnt say no i rarly ever see these compared to mustangs and camaros everywhere.. please opinions did i jus waste my money or is it all good? She told me that her husband (the mechanic) worked for GM at the time she bought, so i guess they threw a little extra in it, i dunno what she is talking about thought. Its a 1989, it has 210,000miles 5 speed, no mods, stock

I definitely don't see any of those extras she was talking about. 210,000 on the clock is alot, but, it IS a 305 after all.. swap it out for an L98/LT1/LS1 and you're good to go. It needs work, but 1600 isn't bad. It'll be a good project.

Yeah you dont see these cars around to much anymore. The body appears to be in great shape and glass t-tops too. Lose those rims though ASAP, slap some GtA's on her.

Not a bad find. You could have done alot worse. The 305 TBI's arent major power houses, but it looks like an excellent starting point.

Give it a good detailing I like the rims too.

It is TBI... All formulas came with the WS6 suspension as well... Looks like a good deal for 1600 though, since its a 5-speed.

Looks good, as long as there's no hidden rust you got a decent deal.

I like the wheels. Looks like he used some screws to hold the door panel on, needs a cd player. Overall looks like a pretty nice car!

first thing i would do is take the wing off, clean all the grime that's in between where the mounting points are, and put the wing back on... would make a world of a difference. A good buffing would do it good too Looks straight and a great start to the project. The torn headliner is no biggy, you can fix that pretty easily. Just take out the headliner, take off the old cloth, take steel wool to the excess stuff that doesnt come off w/ the cloth, then spray some 3M trim adhesive, and put on your new headliner material, whatever color you may choose
