window adjustment

i am trying to adjust my windows i have the up and down correct, when i shut the door the window holds preasure on the door. when the door is rolled down half way, i can move the window in and out about 1- 2 inches. i tried adjusting what i can see but i'm not sure if i am doing it right.

i had the same problem on mine and had to replace that whole window track thing in there. i think it's called an "f-channel" and runs about $65, unless you go to a yard, of course. anyways, it's the piece that the window glass itself is attached to, so before you or whoever does it, i would check around and make sure there is a replacement glass available. mine didn't break, but the potential is there.

You need to adjust the rear track for the in/out tilt angle of the window. Right below where the rear up-stop is, there is a bracket that holds the track to the door. It looks a little like an "L" shaped bracket. It has two screws holding it to the door, and just inside the inner door panel from those are the in/out adjustment screws. Loosen the screws, and pull the track INWARDS (it's a lever sort of thing... seems like the bracket is adjusted too far outwards, causing the window to tilt in) until you get the proper alignment.
