how to fix this?

Hey guys I searched and found some stuff on dent repair but this needs to be more specific. while in storage something hit the back of my 91 camaro. ive attached a pic of a camaro and circled the area that is dented.

the dent is about the size of an apple maybe a little bigger and is right on the corner of the rear tailight if this was a dent on a flat surface i wouldnt have a problem but this is right on the corner would i just cut the section out and reattach one from another car? or try to bang it out and see what happens? thanks for the help guys - TOT

PS. didnt know if it was clear but thats NOT my car just used it for an example

i would tap it out with a body hammer and dolly and then a litte filler to smooth it all out, but a real pic of the area would give us a better idea of what needs to be done. o doubt it needs to be cut out though.

the only reason i say it might need to be cut out is because its right on the corner. and i dont know how to get that sharp angle right next to the taillight back?

Same exact thing happened to me, the whole rear corner was demolished. After ALOT of bondo, sanding, planning, etc, it came out so well you'd never know anything happened there. First time working with bondo as well.

You could also try and get a body shop to use one of those stud welders to weld the pins on and pull it out with the puller as best as possible.

Can't give a response to PDR or what needs to be done without first seeing the damage. It's also possible that PDR will fix it.

It's more than that. That technique is used only as a last resort. PDR usually accesses the damaged area from behind. Special tools and techniques are used to rework the metal and shape it back into it's original shape. Dents don't POP out, we need to reshape the metal slowly. What most people don't realize is that we are shaping the metal like the factory stamp tool, so we need to rebuild body lines and curves to match the factorys shape. It takes a lot of work and a careful touch.
