Where to get replacement GM keys?
I want to get replacement keys and lock cylinders of the same key code that are on the car. Obviously I have to get them from GM, but does anyone know of a contact number or email I can send this request to?

I got my keys ordered and copied at the GM dealer. Mine is VATS though. Seems to me any GM dealer would be able to accomodate your request.

I bought mine from Jason Cromer. I replaced the doors and hatch. I bought a set of t-tops that came with a key and then had the new locks keyed to that t-top lock at a local locksmith for about $10.

thats right, any GM dealer will be able to make you the correct key(s). if not then they will at least give you the OEM key code to your car and then you can have the key made at a locksmith store. You will need your VIN number and proof of ownership. At least thats how it is here. They want to see the registation to the car and your ID so they know that your not just some joe shmo coming in for some keys to a car in the mall parking lot. I went through this a few years ago when I needed a new VATS key . I lost mine, well, my car was not registered at that time and I didnt have "proof" that I owned it so they refused to give me and numbers or keys. Iended up paying $100 to have a locksmith come to the car and do a trial and error with the ignition key tool since it was a VATS key. after 15 trys with a 5 minute reset interval in between , we found that the VATS key had a value of 15(the last one.

BOTTLEDZr28: I don't know how the VATS codes look, but I hope you didn't just post yours.

there are thousands of fbodys with a VATS key that has a 15 value to it. You will have your specal key code and then if it has VATS then the chip will be a value of 1-15. And I bet you any money that there is somebody else out there with the same key code and value as mine. I dont think there is any way that GM can make a different key for every single car they make. (as long as the key has the same physical shape)
