stupid women shouldn't drive

I was sitting in the barbershop today when i heard a crunching noise. I looked up to see a Dodge ram flying backwords into my car. Dumbass women apperently didn't see a bright white car behind her and ran the trailer hitch right through the bumper. I almost killed her. here are some pics, it did look worse but i pulled the bumper out. Haven't driven the car in forever and then this happens the first time i bring it out.

To stay on topic...that's awful man, especially with newer paint. Im afraid to even leave my car in a parking lot when there's no cars in an 80ft radius

as for bad drivers/women combo.....I think it's short women in biiiiiig trucks, case and point my mom. She drives a jacked up 2500 hd, and when she was pulling out of a parking spot one day she turned too sharp and ended up 'monster-trucking' her way over the front fender/hood of a tiny civic....didnt even know it happened until her friend (owner of the car) had called to ask her if she had seen his car totalled before she left ....good ol mom

GTA= Grand Turismo Americana....basicly it would be like a fully optioned IROC i geuss.....power seats, mirrors, etc. WS6 suspension, TPI 350, Gold Wheels, basicly the baddest Trans Am behind the Turbo TA and Firehawk.

At least the damage is contained to the bumper cover, and white paint is easy to match. Once the new bumper cover is on there, you'll be good to go.

Just make sure you hammer on her insurance company for a new GM bumper cover, and not an aftermarket. If they won't spring for the aftermarket, push for used. That way the body shop can get a used GM bumper, and after they spend a day and a half stripping it, they can submit the additional to the insurance company and get them for more than if they just gave you the new GM bumper in the first place. But... it's worth it to play the games because you're better off with a used GM than a new aftermarket.

Got all the insurance straight today. My Uncle is the manager at the best bodyshop in the area and the car is already there. I am hammering their insurance company. They offered me a rental, and i didn't tell them I had another car, hehe, of course I will only accept the equivelent to the GTA, which means V8 RWD....and since i can't miss any of the points races at the track this weekend whatever I get will be raced hoping for maybe a new Mustang, which is what they have around here, and i will let everyone know what they really do run with a good driver.

the only person to ever hit me was a woman. In a parking lot. She was backing up, trying to get in a stall she overshot. I was behind her. She drove right into me. Then she got out and said "did you not see me backing up"

Yeah, I did, bitch. I saw the whole ****ing thing. I watched you drive right into me.

I've been hit 3 times. All 3 were by women. The first was when I was 17 and just got my licence. Some clueless teenager (she was a grade ahead of me) backed right out of her driveway without ever even looking up the street. She totaled my subaru, which was ok because I used that money to buy my first firebird.

When I was in college, I was waiting to pull out of the street leading from my apartment when some indian woman (fellow college student) plowed right into the back of my firebird. It was slippery, but if my firebird could stop, her honda sure as hell could. She sat there and screamed "no money" over and over, and I was late for a test with a prof whose only allowable excuses were "death or marrage", and I already wasn't on his good side (as far as he knows, I got married once a week that semester!), so I sucked it up, picked up the biggest tail light pieces and drove to class.

Last year my girlfriend, who was driving behind me, failed to notice that I stopped for a stop sign and rear ended my corvette. Fortunately, the only damage done was a blown fuse. No body damage.

And men have the higher insurance rates?

I guess since everyone else is telling stories...

Two quite interesting things happened while I was around. The first wass at my old Highschools parking lot. A saw a BIG SUV (like Escalade or something) back up, hit a civic, and litteraly rip the front end off. The nose was gone, and the front riht wheel was laying sideways. I was like D:

Second happened to me, similar to the "Did you not see me backing up" above. I was in the parking lot @ CSU, looking for a space, when it was full. Everyone was selling their books back to the bookstore. Anyways, I was leaving, when I saw the guy backing up. I stopped so he could back up, but then he stopped as well. I dont know about you, but that usually means "go ahead" in my book, since we stayed their for about 5- 10 seconds. So I continue out, and right as I move forward, he decided to as well. Well he slammed on his brakes as I went to the exit, and sped up behind me. I pulled to the next light, and he pulled next to me. "Didnt you see me backing up *******. ****ing people like you cannot drive. Who gave you your licence, a cereal box?" Im sitting there like wtf, but didnt say anything, he wasnt worth my time, until he said "Im going to get your licence suspended". I looked over at him, "Who the **** do you think you are?" He responds with "Im nobody". Im thinking to myself, PERFECT, he set imself right up for that one. "Yeah, your right, you are nobody". He looks over and tells me to watch what hes going to do. Yeh whatever buddy. Light goes green, and he gets real close to me, and pretends to swure into me. WOW whata big man you are. Anyways, I park, go into the store toreturn my books, and there he is, in line. He looks at me, realizes that I can take him pretty easy, and looks down.

:OWNED:

PS: Sorry about what happened to your car, Its never cool to see cars get hurt

That sucks matt! atleast you got her insurance info. last summer I was going to Target and I parked next to a late 90s chevy pick up and when I canme out of the store that truck was leaving so I looked at thier license plate just in case they dinged me or something. so I get to my car and look at the door and didn't see anyhting (was dark) then I look back and they stoped in the next row of parking spaces. I thaught that was wierd but I didn't see any dents so I got in the car and left.
Well the next day I saw 2 long dents in my door! I was so pised! and of course I didn't rember the plate # becasue I didn't see the dent in the dark the night before! and it really pissed me off that they stoped becasue they must have known they hit me! Man it burns me up just thinking about it!!!!

Hey mat, I have an SS hood for my Z I need painted. Do you know how much your uncle charges to paint a hood? hope you get the GTA fixed soon!

I can't get the loaner until the car is physicaly being worked on and I'm still waiting for the insurance people to take a look at it. as soon as they do the estimate, the work will start. I guess i'm just going to have to put up a chain link fence everytime i park the car .

I'll look around for it, but I was reading a study that, on average, women are much worse drivers than men. I can attest for that (gf got into 5 major accidents in one year.. I have had none, and her insurance is barely higher than mine.. and we both drive CAMAROS). The reason they have lower insurance is because, on average, men drive twice as much as women do (no offense Redraif, just stating what I read, not saying that ur a bad driver or that men arent either).

Now, for my story. I was driving home from a CNA class about 11 miles from my house. I was in a line of vehicles (3 ahead of me, 2 behind me) when the lead vehicle decides, at 30mph, that he suddenly needs to slam on the brakes and turn left. I hit my brakes (was driving my dad's '92 Grand Prix.. the brakes sucked in that) and I stopped waaay before the car ahead of me. Well, the car behind me didnt. It was a small 4-door cavalier. We pulled over and my rear bumper was ruined (btw, found out that to get it fixed with USED parts it was gonna cost $2800.. those bumpers are EXPENSIVE) and his hood and bumper were ruined. He tried to talk me out of getting his insurance info but I wouldnt stand for it. I got his plate, his name, address, and insurance info. I would have called the cops right there but I was in a major hurry. I called the sheriff the next morning, had him look at it, and he went over to this guys house. Come to find out, he was 'in between' insurances at the moment. My car was still drivable, so I tried to call and off for them to pay us in instalments. I got his wife, and she proceded to bitch me out... "Well, as I understand it, you stopped really fast right in front of my husband!!" I was like, "NO ****! He has to be far enough behind me to STOP if I suddenly stop!" she went on telling me they didnt think they had to pay a cent because i slammed on my brakes in front of his (like a broken record, over and over again) and said they werent gonna pay a cent. Unfortunately, my dad was going through a bankruptcy at the time, so we couldnt have gone after them. If we would have, the money would have went to the state anyway... That ****er.

i've noticed some recent dings in my once perfect body on my car, ever since winter and my wreck i haven't cared as much where i park, so i guess i paid the price there.

and i ha ve had my car hit, both by women.

first was back in HS a girl was pulling in and taped the nose of my old car, then she yelled at me about it

the next time was last summer in my z34, some lady didn't stop for a a redlight in time, no damage so i let her go.

That sucks man, but the werid thing is I have had a fear of this happening to my camaro.

The first owner of my camaro was a woman, no offense intened. Well the car has been side swiped when she owned, which means all passenger side panels are off alignment(summer project). And for some strange reason had to vacuume my truck 2 hours trying to remove beach sand. I still kicking it up.

I got a few stories about wrecks and stupid drivers and how they try and get out of it. The worst one happened to me, the camaro still carries the scar, and since this guy has hit it he has been gone out of site. Happened in HS, my 11th grade year, I was the 1 out of 2 camaros in the whole parking lot. It had been raining that day, so some wet out toward my area. What I saw made me sick, i saw tire track over into my space, and that my car was knocked over into the next space. The guy since then I have not seen except once, and last time I checked his explorer it still had a nice clean white streak on the bumper. He also saw me and kind of took off around the corner.

The other one a ***** of a Honda Accord rolls into me while i am sitting waiting to pull out of the space. We talked for a second, no damage, but his excuse "I got distracted and let my foot off the brake."

A friend of mine took a guy throught the mud because he sideswipped his truck. The guy tried to get out of it by saying and doing, "This truck couldn't cost you over 2 grand I be willing to pay you here and now if you not press charges" and pulls out a wade of cash. My friend replies,"No I worked to hard, and to long saving and working on that truck for some like you to come along and do this crap, you will pay."

What some people do is dumb, like Bill Engvall says, "stupid people should wear signs." Stupid people shouldn't be allowed to drive eithier. They need a School of Common Sense, those who think they don't need it usually do.:P

again let me say how that sucks for to to happen to such a great looking car.

Just got a check from the insurance company, $841 . I know that the bumper, plastic reinforcement behind the bumper, paint, and labor are waaay higher than that. GM discontinued the GTA emblems so I ordered one from Year One. $112 If an emblem costs that much, you know an entire front end is more then $900. Now I have to fight the insurance company about reimbursing me for the emblem.

And about the rental thing, I was going to get one, but instead I bought a 2004 Dodge Ram Rumble Bee. It beats the hell out of driving some cracker box rental. I'll post pics tomorrow when its light.

Actually, it says "Final Payment". Looks like i'm about to get REEEAAAALLL violent up in here! Thats BS if I'm gonna have to pay that much to fix my car just because they isure some one who doesn't know how to drive. I tried to call the agent earlier today and his voicemail said his hours were from 8 to 3. Who the hell only works from 8 to 3???

Does that mean that if the total bill to fix the car runs over the 841 that I will have to pay the remainder?

I had some illegals back into my car at my last job in and F-250. Mangled the hood, and nose. I see him do it walk outside and dude takes off spinning his tires. I did the adult thing and picked up the biggest river rock in front and flung it. All those years of foodball paid off, CRASH right through the back window! I felt a little better but my car is still jacked.
On a side note my dad backed his Tahoe into my car not once, but twice. It just marked up the bumper. I've only been hit by one woman, 15 pass Chevy van into the driver door. I'm over it now, scored a free hood on the board, and am getting the thing painted in Aug.
I feel your pain bro!

Good luck getting a new nose from GM. Bodyshop that's doing my car had to resort to calling Hawk's after I gave them the number.

Your best bet with that "Final" Check is to go see a reputable body shop. Most of them have dealt with these checks that are too low before, and know how to make the insurance pay up for the repair if it's higher.

Whatever you do - don't sign the thing and go to the bank. The second you sign, you agree that the amount that's posted is all you'll ever get.

Best of luck to ya Matt. Restoring GTA's are expensive

Thanks to everyone for the advice. No I am definitely not doing anything with this check until the car is done and everything is straightened out with the insurance.

I know banks, and I believe insurance people. Amazing people how control money get off work eariler than everyone else. Whats up with that? Strange thing is you think after being robbed some many times during those hours they learn a little.:P

Yea that front end will probably be expensive. They need to get someone who knows about cars in car insurance, that may make it more fair.

Talked to my Uncle a little while ago, the nose is coming from Gm but it won't be here until the end of next week. He told me the body shop will put up the fight for the money.

Looks like I get to see what a Hemi runs in the 1/4

The reason I didn't bother getting a rental.

Just because I'm a female does not mean I'm going to stand up for female drivers! I guess I'm the exception...I have have only hit 2 people...both have been the other persons fault! (yep both were women!)

Once in a parking lot when I was in high school. They decided to cut thru a few open parking spaces like it was the drive while I was coming out of a space. I looked right and left down the isle, no one coming...I did not look for an idiot girl racing thru open parking spaces just down from me!

Other was at an intersection...I was behind a civic, she pulled out into an intersection and then panic stopped part way thru her turn, for no conceivable reason. Once she pulled out I did as we all do. I looked left to on coming traffic and paid no mind since she had already proceded into the intersection. I was slowly trolling up to the intersection, so I bumped her very lightly. No damage! Heck the cop actually was going to give her the ticket!

The dually was hit 3 times all by woman rearending it!

My car was actually hit 3 times by guys! 2 were no damage, the 3rd was $1500. This guy backed into the front end of my car. Then he offered me $20 to pay for the damage! The whole nose, and gfx was spider webbed. The center lense I made for the KITT light was trashed! My close calls have been even b/w the sexes! (running me off road, pulling out in front of me, cutting me off on hte interstate)

My mother's old wagon was totaled 2 times by women driver. Once in the nose, ripped off the bumper and side fender. The other ran her off the road. This ended the cars life for real...bent the frame! Course the lady left the scene! Her newer car hit 3 times by women. The last hit on the Stratus...almost ended its life! Ripped off the nose and tweaked the frame! Mom is a good driver though! She has not hit anybody since I have been around (30 years)

Now I have a friend that has a 2004 Trailblazer and has managed to get it and her old blazer in 7 wrecks since I have known her (1.5 years) Though only half have been her fault. The ones that were not her fault (other women drivers were to blame!)

So I can't really put up a good argument to defend my sex on this one! I can only defend my own ability to not be a typical female and play bumper cars on the road!

My guess as to why insurance rates are higher for guys...I have heard that guys speed more and faster rates then women. Though that could be due to women talking themselfs out of tickets! Though I have never been able to do that!

hah, be thankful you dont live in michigan... damn no falut bs...

yea thats right, if i get hit i have to pay for it, no matter what. and since anything more than plpd would cost the same as the car after 2 years i cant afford that BS, which means, oh its just a bad thing, it'd be a nightmare for someone in your possission.

And as for good arguments pertaining to sex, its been scientifically provin that women have much worse depth perception then men, which is directly related to their driving (especially when backing up in big trucks in parking lots and looking in rear view mirrors). And yet another side note, people who play first person shooter video games are proven better drivers (harvard study i believe) b/c they're much more aware of what is going on around them than people who dont play FPS's.

This is why I always make a mental note what kind/color car is parked on either side of me anywhere I go. If a different car is parked next to me when I get to the parking lot, and especially if it's real close to my truck, I always check the passenger side just to make sure.

Check with the Target, they should have video survelliance. Course, the insurance should cover it, but keep in mind that it's not worth it in the long run, cause most likely your insurance rates will go up. This makes no flippin sense to me, that my insurance rates go up when someone else hits my car, but that's just how it is. That said, I never file insurance claims for something I can't fix for at least double the deductible.
