Thirdgen SS hood.

Is there anyone that has a pictures of the underside of a thirdgen ASCD SS hood.
Basically I want to know if I there is enough place to put a strut tower brace over my HSR intake. And would like to see how thick is the forward portion of the hood to see if my custom CAI will clear it. (had to cut some bracing under my hood so it could fit).

unfortunately i don't have a picture but i do know that it will not work. i ordered the hsr and had to get rid of it because there was no way to have a stb which i have to have using the ss hood. in fact on my hotchkis bar i had to have brackets made as their brackets were slightly too tall cutting into the hood.

Do you think that if I fab something like the BMR STB there will be enough room?

my hotchkis bar i had to have brackets made as their brackets were slightly too tall cutting into the hood.

So over all does the ASCD hood have more thickness than the stock one with its braces and the insulator?

the real question is how would you do it?

your going to have a bar that looks like this going over the top of it \_/

imagine it the other way around of course. ^

the stealth ram just isn't a good intake for that... i even thought of squeezing something between it and that didn't work. great intake but unless your running coilovers i wouldn't worry about the STB. if you are running coilovers or similar setup then you'll want the STB and possibly consider a different intake.

as far as the bracing.. there really isn't bracing, it's just flat on the underside of the hood. just so happens that the location that i put the brackets at happen to touch which required me to move them.

Thanks for the info..... I'll try to get a pic from ASCD if the have any of the underside. I guess I'll end up ordering one and I will see from there.
