Paint Gun Advise

Hey guys need a little help deciding what to do. I am almost done sanding my car and about to start prepping for paint. I am about to buy a new Finishline3 and was wondering if I should buy a 1.8 tip for primer. The reason to use one gun for painting and priming is purely budget. Also what size paint tip should I use 1.3 or 1.5? I plan in using ether HOK or Dupont paint. I can’t really afford to make mistakes when purchasing the equipment. Also if you know some cheap online sites for guns and paint please post them? Thanks guys...

honestly, there's nothing I can give you for advice. All guns shoot differently. It depends on how you spray. Try a few guns out and see what you like. It's easy for me to say that because I have access to quite a few, but I'm used to SATAjet guns from working with them. If you're on a budget, I've had good experience with Warwick and DeVillbis as well. I've never used a Finishline gun, nor have heard anything about them.

I just ordered a Finishline, but I'll be out of town for a couple of weeks so can't use it until I get back. Definitely 1.8 for primer, and I like a 1.3 1.4 for BC/CC. Never tried a 1.2, I hear they lay down a good coat. If you use yours before I can use mine, let me know how well it works.

Transmission: 700r4 crazy beefed up one
Axle/Gears: ones with teeth
i have 2 of those exact guns and i used the 1.3 for all steps. it shot perfect. it may not be the proper tip according to the paint body guys. they can tell you that. but i did all 5 steps with the same two guns just cleaned real well between steps.

its a great gun for the money and the weekend paint guys like us.
