GTA door panel mod

well i have searched and found out that with the gta molded door panels will fit into a 86 camaro z28 altho i have read many posts that you can put them onto the original arrow style arm rest mount or you can put the ones off a gta on there. now my first Q does my car have the arrow style arm rest mount ? also if it does can i just drill some new holes and get it to work with these?

thanks ahead of time

i believe you need the armrest mount specific to the gta doorpanels.. you could always try fabbing something up to make it work, tho..

You'll definately need those. otherwise the armrest won't mount up. I just did this. Drill a few holes and runs some bolts through and you're good.

Did you have to change the actual handles as well as the arm rest brackets? I want to install the deluxe style handle trim on my 82, but there seems to be no place for the trim to mount to.

If you need barackets check with Hawks; Bruce once told me he usually takes off the armrest brackets when he sells doors, so he may have some spares.
