Recovering my headliner/ dying my interior

What material works best for recovering the headliner and where can I get it from. I tried with canvas and it wasn't stretchy so it didn't work well at all. I'm also dying my interior black and don't feel like ordering a can to do my center console. Where can I get it locally? Thanks!

When i did my headliner and sail panels i went to local fabric store and told them what i was trying to do and they new exactly what material to use. It was kind of a felt type material with a foam backing. Worked like a champ. Just ask them someone there will know. Also i highly recommend using 3M Spray Adhesive the local autoparts stores sale it in a tall white can.

I agree. I actually covered mine in Vinyl. Black vinyl. It looks good. It is only wrinkled in a few corners. In time I will come up with a good plan for sewing a headliner together out of black Vinyl that has NO wrinkled corners.

The popular thing to do now seems to be to glass the whole headliner or order a plastic one from classic industries and paint it the interior color.

That's what I plan on doing. That one place that sells KITT stuff (maybe its Classic Industries as mentioned, I don't recal) has a fiberglass headliner for $125. Doesn't seem like that bad of a price to me. Fiberglass materials aren't the cheapest in the world and I don't know how to do it...though I am going to fiberglass my sunvisors when I buy the headliner.
