Replacing front bumper cover / nose

My front bumper has this awful sagging problem that seems like it'll only go away if I just replace the whole damn thing. I just plopped on a new hood (an old Iroc hood, in place of the V6 3rd gen hood that was there) and it won't latch down. The old hood had hood-pins (which looked awful by the way) and I bought the whole latching assembly, but it's just not working. The problem is that the whole nose seems to be sagging too far down to let the hood latch.

Anyways, I need advice on replacing the front bumper, or even the entire nose. What all needs to be replaced up there to eliminate the sagging? Have a look at the pictures in my Car Domain and you'll DEFINITALY see what I'm talking about when I say sagging.

Here's the link:

Make sure you scroll down the page to see the pictures.

So what kind of solution is there? Is this a common problem? It may help to add that I'm positive this car was in a front end collision, although I don't know it's history . Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen one sag for no reason. If it was in a front end wreck, something might be bent. I'd take it off and see if everything looks straight behind it.

i have a similar problem like that, when i got in my front end collission(sp?) it pushed everything back and down, we used a hand winch to pull it out and now i have to pull everything back up to make it re-align, hope this helps in some way

dude... the problem is either simple or kinda pain in the *** my theroy is this.
It could be as simple as the hood lining up
or......
your header panel... its the part that holds the light asslembely together take off the panel were the latch hold down on the nose( it will have stickers like the smog and the belt information) it looks like the plasitc is broken in the middle forcing all the weight down in the middle. i work part time in a body shop when i am not in school and i had a acciednet where mine is broke also and it does the same thing. The part for us is only 39.40 but i dont' know how much it is for the public. also were the header panel hooks up at.check that out.. it goes on the front of the fenders and it bolts the nose down in place. here i found the part on ebay

I had a similar problem with my firebird, the nose was sagging because the vertical brace that runs from the radiator support to the nose was rotted out. This may or may not be the case in this instance. Look underneath up at the radiator above the air dam, the piece i am talking about may be bent or something. My .02 -Bob

If the front end isn't sagging try adjusting the hood and,if you haven't already, try adjusting the latch itself.
