so guys im starting to think about my paint job... so i have bright red but want metallic chips, so lets see your guys red with metallic chips

you can't have metallic and bright in the same sentence. here shows two shades of the same paint. can't judge something by a picture either. the most metallic possible without metal flake.

I wont post a pic of my entire car because it's very similar to jeff's....but jeff did you ever have problems with your base coat showing through on pictures? Heres an example of one where you can see the gold metallic shine through the candy....any idea on why this is, because I dont recall seeing it in any photos of yours...

wasn't putting you down, beautiful car and color. just isn't really considered a metallic unless you know something i don't. then again my car at different light doesn't look metallic either.
as far as the base showing through. after about it's 7th year being in the sun it started to do that. unfortunatley it depends on how the candy is sprayed and how many layers you have which is why prices range from 2-30k for paintjobs. i don't have a picture of mine up close with the sun right on it so i can't help you there but it doesn't look like that, no.
