Alternate seat belt retractor location??
I'm loving my new Recaro seats but the seat belt is around my neck when I buckle it on! The factory belt-loop won't help as the headrest is narrower then the factory piece and I tried putting a loop on the window trim but the belt gets twisted in it and won't retract. I haven't poked around the b-pillar metal yet so maybe someone can get me started in the right dorection. Has anyone found a good spot around the speaker openings that has thick enough metal to mount the retractor?

that's a great question, i had those issues when i had my corbeau. got rid of the stock seatbelts entirely in place of my harnesses which works much better but i wouldn't want it like that on a daily driver. hopefully someone will chime in. the real problem would be to make it flow well but if you don't care about looks i would think it's very possible.

I'm thinking one of two options -
1- Schroth retractable harhess with upper retract mounted to the roof -
Autocontrol harness
But I don't think the wife will cotton to straping into a 4-point harness.
2- Relocate my rear speakers, weld a mounting plate in the speaker area and mount the OEM retract there with a cover.
BTW- The photography of your car in GMHTP was the best yet!
