Stock Firebird hood- but fiberglass?

Hey guys, anyone else besides USBody.com make a stock Firebird hood? I don't want a cowl induction hood- i'm not running a carb.

Either that, or, has anyone taken a cowl induction hood and sliced it up to "lower" the raised center? As in, changing a 3" cowl induction hood into a 1" cowl induction hood?

Putting a 3" cowl hood on my V6 firebird just seems too damn ridiculous to me!

There are two places within a half hour of me that make them. Both have them for $260 plus the cost of shipping for pin-on, and $360+sh for bolt-on.

VFN Fiberglass in Addison, IL 60101
Glasstek in Naperville, IL (forgot zip)

Not quite yet. I've heard good things about both so far though. I think I'm going to end up going with a cowl hood, but I don't want a 4" so I have to talk to them to see if they'd make like a 1.5" cowl hood for my bird. I'd be purchasing that in the next few weeks more than likely.

I got a VFN fiberglass cowl hood. They make good fiberglass parts. My hood came very straight, and with a good fiberglass thickness (it is a bolt on hood). This is the second hood I have got from them, been nothing but pleased so far.
